Helen C. Lent, Retired Secretary
Helen C. Lent, 90, a secretary at the former Dutchess Tool Company in Beacon for 36 years, died Saturday at New Paltz Nursing Home. She was a lifetime local resident.
Helen was born July 15, 1901, in Beacon, to William and Mary Felter Lent. She was a graduate of Beacon High School and the former Eastman Business College in Poughkeepsie. She was a member of the United Christ Methodist Church in Beacon.
Several cousins survive including Charles Brooks, of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, and Madeleine Soura and Dr. L Harder, both of Kingston.
She was predeceased by a sister, Hazel Lent and a brother, Harry Lent.
Cremation was private. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hignell-Phelps-Pine Funeral Home in Beacon.
