McMinnville resident and Warren County native Nellie Golden Rose, 86, died April 4 at River Park Hospital.

A retired teacher serving in Lake County, Fla., School System for 35 years and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Charlotte Byars Golden; and was preceded in death by daughter, Jillene Rose Smith; sisters, Esther Binkley, Jewell Allen, Gay Nisbett and Vera Wilson; and brothers, Paul, Leighton and Chester Golden.

She is survived by daughters, Judith Rose Roney of McMinnville, Juliet Rose Ingram of Nashville and Janita Rose Stuart of New Zealand; sons, Don Garry Rose of Nashville and Jon Larry Rose of Memphis; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Pearl Golden Biddle and Frankie Golden, both of McMinnville.

Services were held Tuesday at High's Chapel with Paul Roberts and John Biddle officiating. Burial followed at Salem Cemetery.

High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
