Son of William Ernest and Emma Dailey Loney. He was an Army veteran of World War II and also served in the Pennsylvania National Guard. He was employed by McDermott Paints and was also a taxicab driver. He was a member of the Salvation Army Church, Scranton. He was a kind and compassionate man who enjoyed talking on his CB radio and loved bowling. He had one son Louis Loney Jr and several step childen. He is sadly missed by his family and friends. His wife of 28 years, was the former Lenore Hammen.
