Services for Cynthia F. Benson, 67, of 2539 Bellevue Ave., Bettendorf, are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf, where she was a member. Burial is in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at McGinnis, Chambers and Sass Funeral Home, Bettendorf. A rosary will be recited at 7:30. Memorials may be made to Amniotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Foundatin or the church.
Mrs. Benson died Wednesday at St. Luke's Hospital, Davenport.
The former Cynthia F. Tadlock was born Oct. 26, 1922, in Davenport. She married Ralph E. Benson April 7, 1951, in Rock Island.
Mrs. Benson was employed 10 years as a key punch operator at the Rock Island Arsenal. She then was employed 15 years in the jewelry department at Younker's department store, Duck Creek, retiring in 1986.
She was a former member of Our Lady of Fatima Circle at the church.
She enjoyed needlepoint, cross-stitching and crocheting.
Survivors include the widower; daughters, Janet Shannon and Theresa Behr, both of Davenport, Kathy Pietz, Atlanta, Ga., and Judy Bennett, LeClaire; a son, Gary Benson, Bettendorf; seven grandchildren; and sisters, Hazel Johnson, Evelyn McClure and Opal Cassatt, all of Houston, Texas.
