Mrs. William Finley WARE SHOALS - Mrs. Lula Bannister Finley, 85. died in a Greeriwood hospital yesterday. Daughter of the late Jasper and Molly McAllister Bannister, she was a lifelong resident of Abbeville County and a member of Bethel Methodist Church. Her husband was - the late William Elihue Finley. Surviving are one son. Emmett Finley of Rt. 1, Donalds; two brothers, Dan Bannister of Abbeville and Albert Bannister of Anderson; and two sisters, Mrs. Maude Campbell and Mrs. Allie Cooper of Calhoun Falls.
Funeral services were conducted today at 4, p.m, at Sharon, Methodist Church in Abbeville County by the Rev. Sam Coker. Burial was" in the church cemetery. Grandsons and nephews were pallbearers. Parker-White Funeral Home in charge.
Addendum,
Died at Emmett "Bud" Finley's home (her son)Turkey Creek Rd, Rt 2 Donalds, SC. Previous residence was Route 3, (Sharon Community) Abbeville, SC. Newspaper article celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary said they had lived at Rt 3 Abbeville all their life.

Johnnie Finley, one of her sons, killed in farming accident, plow "ran him through". Left four children who were raised by Mary Lula Banister Finley. The four children: John Wade Finley, Mary Finley(m) Henry Argo, Catherine Finley (m) McCaslin, Ester Finley (m) Graymo Threlkeld.
