Mrs. Inez Shull was born in Ware Shoals, SC, the daughter of the late Emmett and Felicia Emerson Finley. She was a member of Mt. Hebron Methodist Church, the Wesley Fellowship Sunday School Class and the Bee Bobo Circle. Mrs. Shull taught Physical Education at Hand Middle School in Columbia.

She graduated from Ware Shoals High School, Winthrop College at 20. [Nezzie graduated from Winthrop 4 June 1950.] First husband James Edward "Ed" Pitts (d 1975), 2nd Norman "Buddy" Shull from West Columbia.

Surviving are her daughter, Susan Pitts Turner (Larry) of Blythewood; her son, Jim Pitts (Linda) of Alexandria, VA; 6 grandchildren, Krissy Turner, Allie, Colin, Brian, Lachlan and Maclin; step son, Marc Shull of West Columbia. She is survived by her husband and her oldest sister Mary Finley Hill, Lake Murray, Leesville, SC.

She was predeceased by her parents; first husband James Edward "Ed" Pitts; one son James Edward Pitts, Jr.; two brothers, Calvin "Emmett" Finley, Ware Shoals; James Edward Finley, West Columbia.
