Mr. Calloway was born Oct. 27, 1916, in Jonesboro, La., the son of Howard and Nannie (Dickerson) Calloway.
He married Francis Steury in St. Louis, Oct. 30, 1938, and she survives.
He was self-employed at a body shop and was a former employee of Crest Haven Cemetery. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Olney.
Other survivors include a son, John Ament, Yakima, Wash.; a daughter, Joan Youngling, Tucson, Ariz.; two half-brothers, Lawrence Calloway, Clovis, Ca.; Leslie Calloway, Marina, Ca.; two half-sisters, Louise Anderson, West Point, Ca.; Lilliam Stalling, Chowchilla, Ca.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
