He was united in marriage to Estella May Toler Dec. 25, 1915. They resided on a farm southwest of Lenox twenty-six years, then moved to the farm on which he lived since 1942.
He was united with the Blue Grove Christian Church by faith in 1915 later transferring his membership to the Lenox Christian church. He served as township clerk of Grove township for a number of years.
He is survived by his wife; one sister, a brother, one sister-in-law, four nieces, two nephews, seven cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held from the Roland Funeral Home in Corning, Monday, August 28, at 2:00 p. m., conducted by Rev. Paul Williams. Interment was in the Lenox cemetery.
Music was by Mrs. John Narigon and Mrs. Joe Cook. Pallbearers were Lawrence Orth, Frank Eigenheer, Harry Preston, George Schrader, Bill Paul and Don Tully.
