V.H. Davidson Funeral Set
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at Willamette Memorial Park at 2 p.m. Wednesday for Vernon H. Davidson, 76, of Albany, who died Friday at Albany General Hospital following an apparent heart attack.
The Rev. David Mann, Albany M Church, will officate.
Davidson was born April 29, 1891, in Weber, Kan., and married Neva Bradbury Jan. 12, 1911, at Burr Oak, Kan.
He attended Teachers College in Kansas City and farmed and taught school near Weber. In 1913 the couple moved to Mankato, Kan. where he taught school and in 1918, to Concordia, Kan. where he served as principal of Concordia High for 30 years.
They moved to a small farm near Burnt Woods, Ore., in 1943 and to Albany when he retired in 1955.
Survivors include his widow Neva; two sons, Kenneth W. of Hastings, Neb., and Keith L. of Albany; one daughter, Mrs. Cleone Palmer of Portland and two brothers, Orel Davidson of Weber, Kan., and Aubrey Davidson of Miltonville, Kan. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. There are six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of AAsurn Funeral Home.
