Wiley Asbury Doub was the youngest of nine known children of Elijah Doub (1809-1885) and Lucy Newsome (1821-1911), who married 15 (or 28?) Oct 1841 at Stokes (now Forsyth) County, North Carolina.

Wiley married Flora Rebecca Sprinkle (1872-1947) on 29 Oct 1890 at Forsyth County, North Carolina. Wiley and Flora were the parents of twelve known children, namely:

1. Thomas Fred Doub (1891-1974)
2. Maude Esta Doub (1892-1991)
3. Della Leona Doub Franklin (1894-1971)
4. Callie Lillie Doub Doub (1895-1917)
5. William Edwin Doub (1897-1954)
6. Clarice A. Doub Tuttle (1900-1980)
7. Eugene Wesley Doub (1902-1993)
8. Efird Wake Doub (1905-1969)
9. Lucy Elizabeth Doub Shore (1907-1992)
