IDA CONDIE SERVICES HELD
Ida Emma Baker Condie, died Jan.1,1988 at the age of 107 years in Coeur d'Alene. Her life spanned nearly 11 decades of progress. She experienced the transformation from pioneer wagons to transcontinental jets, and found great joy in living during such an exciting age.
She was born Jul 21, 1880 in Richfield, Sevier, Utah to William George Baker, Jr. and Amanda Caroline Jensen. As a child and young woman she lived in Richfield, Boulder and Escalante, Utah. On Dec.3, 1913 she married Joseph Condie in the Logan Temple. Their homes were in Preston and Thatcher. They had four children in addition to the five children he had from his first marriag. Their children are William G."Bill" Condie (deceased), formerly of Thatcher, Lila Condie Bjorkman Pratt of Emmett, Phyllis Condie Savel of Coeur d'Alene, and Reed Condie of Coeur d'Alene.
Ida Condie gave service to others as a teacher, a nurse, and an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After the death of Joseph Condie in 1947, she lived in Salt Lake City, Malad and Coeur d'Alene. She was preceded in death by her son Bill, and her step-children, Fern, Viola Stroke, Orlando, Zetta Corbett and Grant. She has 11 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, Jan.6, 1988 in the Coeur d'Alene Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, at 10:30 a.m. with the viewing one hour prior. Interment will be in the Coeur d'Alene City Cemetery.
