Mr. Walsh was born Oct. 25, 1924, at Shelby, Mich., the son of James W. Walsh and wife Lettie E., nee Dow.
As a young man he was united in marriage and was blessed with five children.
On Feb. 17, 1966, he was married to Betty Joyce Wilkins, nee Todisman, and their families were joined as one and one
daughter was born into this union.
Mr. Walsh was a member of Bethel Fellowship Baptist Church in Festus.
He served his country during World War II in the United States Army.
Mr. Walsh was employed as a truck driver, retiring from Supreme Express in St. Louis.
He also was a member of Teamsters Union Local 600.
Mr. Walsh was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lettie Walsh; one brother, Bill Walsh; one sister, Waive
Kraft; and one son, Billy Wilkins.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Walsh, Festus; six sons, Leon Walsh, Minnesota, Dennis West and wife Belinda, Cape
Coral, Fla., Jimmy Walsh, Grand Rapids, Mich., Timmy Walsh and wife Lisa, Grand Rapids, Mich., Charles West and Ron
Wilkins and wife Joy, all of Festus; five daughters, Melissa Powell and husband Al, Fremont, Mich., Mona Gonzalezs and husband Jose, Wyoming, Mich., Debbie Casteel and husband Mark and Joyce Hudson, all of Festus, and Leeann Hill and husband Paul, Hillsboro; two brothers, Gale Walsh and wife Barbara, Hisperia, Mich., and Bob Walsh and wife Sandy,Irons, Mich.; one sister, Donna Tibbe, Coopersville, Mich.; his father-in-law, Clovis Todisman and wife Loretta, Bonne Terre; 35 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; great-great-nieces;great-great-nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 30, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, with Rev. Mike Hoggard
officiating.
Interment was in Bethel Cemetery, Lonedell.
Memorials to the Multiple Sclerosis Society are preferred.
