He was born in Alexandria, Arkansas, son of Charles Graydon Davis and wife Irene Olive, nee Grubbs.

On June 5, 1976, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Sue Elliott and two daughters were born to the couple.

Mr. Davis was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Lonedell.

He was a past member of Arnold Masonic Lodge 673 and a current member of Easter Lodge 575, AF & AM, having been initiated January 9, 1978, passed March 22, 1978, and raised October 5, 1978; a past member of the Springdale Volunteer Fire Department; a past member of the Lonedell R-14 Board of Education, the Lonedell R-14 Sports Boosters, the Lonedell R-14 PTSA, the Lonedell R-14 Education and Building Committee, as well as many other committees.

Mr. Davis was employed by General Electric in Jonesburg, Arkansas, until he was disabled.

In 1976 he began working for Southwestern Bell and moved to Oklahoma City.

In 1978 he transferred to Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages, relocating in the St. Louis area, and ended his career as a graphic artist, retiring in 1992 after about 16 years of employment.

He also was a retiree of the Communications Workers of America, Local 6320. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army, entering May 23, 1959, and receiving his honorable discharge on August 5, 1959.

Mr. Davis' father, Charles Davis, one sister, Lucy Anita Gattlin, and one nephew, Josh Gattlin, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Davis, St. Clair; two daughters, Summer and Amanda Davis, both of St. Clair; his mother, Irene Davis, Branson; one brother, Leny Earl Davis, Branson; his godson, Jimmie Lee Mills, Fenton; brothers- and sisters-in-law; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and -nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 20, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, with Rev. Ben Kingston officiating.

Interment was in Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Lonedell.

Memorials to Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund are preferred.
