Jane McCrory Ochiltree

Jane McCrory was one of the ten children of Robert McCrory and Salina M. "Celina" Saxon McCrory; her siblings were John, Mary, Anna, William S., Margaret, Samuel, Clayton, Catherine E., and Salina. She married James M. Ochiltree in Fayette Co., IN on May 28, 1861; their nine children were William E., Thaddeus F., Robert, Celina Catherine, John "Calvin", James "Jamie", China, Jane "Jennie" M., and Ione.

1885 History of Fayette Co. IN. p. 302 for James M. Ochiltree: "... In 1860 he married Jane McCrory, who was born in this county in 1843, a daughter of Robert and Celina (Sexton) McCrory. Her parents settled on what is now Mr. Ochiltree's farm in 1821, and on the evening of their arrival made their beds on the ground in the open air for want of shelter, first being compelled to remove quite a heavy coating of snow. ...".
