Mrs. Abbott Succumbs at 77

Mrs. Xenia Hawkins Abbott, seventy-seven, of 71 Division St., died Friday (June 13, 1969) in Salamanca District Hospital.
She had been in failing health the past year.
Born in East Otto, the daughter of the late Harrison and Mettie Phillips Hawkins, she had resided in Syracuse before coming to Salamanca. Her husband, the late Clifford Abbott, died in August 1953.
Mrs. Abbott was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Salamanca.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Percy (Crystal) Herzog of 34 Swan St. and Mrs. Frank (Martha) McIntyre of 71 Division St. and three grandchildren of Syracuse.
Friends may call at the Hunt Funeral Home, 28 River St. from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 1 p.m. The Rev. Everett Hendrickson, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in East Otto Cemetery
