Mary Ann Kasselman
Mary Ann Kasselman, 72, Hutchinson, died April 2, 2009 at Promise Regional Medical Center. Born February 3, 1937, at Ninah, Wis. She was the daughter of Rev. R.H. and Laura Nelson Spangler.

She grew up in the Concordia and Great Bend communities. A graduate of Great Bend High School and attended Ottawa University and Grace Hospital School of Nursing. She was a homemaker and had a home day care for 27 years and was known as "Mama Mary" by many of the children.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Hutchinson, and Serendipity Good Sam Camping Club.

Oct. 10, 1959, she married Wayne Kasselman in Hutchinson. He survives. Other survivors include: a son, Monty Kasselman and wife Avona, Conway, Ark.; a daughter, Marcy Kasselman, Overland Park; a brother, John Spangler and wife Ruth, Columbus, Wis.; and many extended family members.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 6, 2009, at First Baptist Church, Hutchinson, with Pastor Stephen Taylor presiding. Private family graveside will be held prior to the memorial service at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum. Friends may sign her register 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Visitation with family present will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Hutchinson in care of the mortuary.
