Mrs. Ethel M. Aikins, 84, of Rural Valley RD 1, died yesterday at the Armsdale Home and Hospital at 11 p.m. Mrs. Aikins was the widow of the late Glenn Aikins. She was born Nov. 27, 1886 in Cowanshannock Twp., a daughter of Thomas and Mary (Johns) McLaughlin.
Mrs. Aikins is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Melser, East Aurora, N.Y.; Mrs. Howard Erdley, East Aurora, N.Y.; four sons, Ira Aikins, Howard Aikins, Buffalo, N.Y.; Clair Aikins, Buffalo, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Lingenfelter, Rural Valley RD 1; Mrs. Nile Green, Plumville; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
AIKINS – Friends of Mrs. Ethel M. Aikins, who died January 1, 1971, are being received at the Roy W. Carson Funeral Home, Rural Valley after 7 p.m. Visitation hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home conducted by Rev. William Headley, pastor of the Rural Valley Methodist Church. Burial will be in Harkleroad Cemetery, Cowanshannock Twp. Arrangements by Carson.
