COLLARD RITES SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY
VARLEY MELVIN COLLARD, 40, of Mt. Pleasant died Friday morning at Mt. Pleasant Community hospital after two years of illness.
COLLARD, a former Owosso and Perry resident, had been seriously ill for two weeks.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Jennings-Lyons Chapel with Rev. Robert L. Nelson officiating. Burial will be in West Haven cemetery.
Mr. Collard was born in Bennington Township on February 13, 1920, son of JOHN C. and MAUDE [FREET] COLLARD.
He resided all his life in Owosso and Perry until he moved to Mt. Pleasant five years ago.
Survivors include two brothers, JOHN of Perry and BUSTER of Lansing; five sisters, MRS. ENIO NARHI, MRS. STEVE ROMANEK, and MRS. ARLIN HUDSON, all of Lansing; MRS. LON VENABLE of Torrance, California, and MRS. HOWARD STEWART of Owosso Township.
