Mattie Johns Lovelace was the fourth child of nine of Benjamin Edmond and Nancy "Nannie" Janeway Johns. She married Albert Lovelace 17 July 1904 in Friendship, Crockett Co. TN and they are the parents of 6 children; Cordie Bell, Nettie Pearl, Lillie May, Raymond L., Reba, Alvin H.D.

MATTIE LOVELACE SERVICES TODAY

Mrs. Mattie Lovelace, 82, 117 North Ingram, died Saturday at 11 am in the Missouri Delta Community hospital.

She was born in Crockett County, Tenn., Oct. 23, 1884. Surviving are her husband, Albert Lovelace; four daughters, Mrs. Cordie Holmes, Bertrand, Mrs. Reba Hodges, Blytheville, Ark., Mrs. Nettie McArthur and Mrs. Lillie Sides, both of Sikeston; tow sons, Raymond Lovelace, Althema, Ark., and Alvin Lovelace, Gage, KY.; three sisters, Mrs. Bell Richie, Steele, Mrs. Eula Fitzhugh, Memphis; and Mrs. Lena Bolding, Jackson, Tenn.; 25 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.

Services were today in the first General Baptist church, with the Rev. Robert Jones, officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories cemetery.
