JOYCE — Funeral services for G. D. Franklin, 71, of Joyce, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Funeral Home Chapel at Winnfield with the Rev. Willie James, the Rev. Glyn Griffin and the Rev. Wilmur Jordan.
Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery at Joyce for Mr. Franklin who died at 9:30 a.m. Monday at his residence after a brief illness.
A retired oilfield worker, Mr. Franklin was a native of Tulsa, Okla. and a member of the Union Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Alice Franklin of Joyce; one daughter, Mrs. Victorine Bilyeu of Joyce; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
