William (Bill) John Richardson, 75 years old, passed away February 2, 2009 in The Villages, FL, from complications from a stroke.

He was born July 17, 1933 in Vienna, IL.

His son, "Billy", was the apple of his eye. He took great pleasure in being "Grandpa Bill" to his grandchildren.

Retired from Furnas Electric as a computer programmer in 1996 after 23 years of service. Afterwards, worked for True Value in Aurora and ran a handyman service called "Bill Will". He was employed by Ace Hardware in The Villages as a Greeter, known there affectionately as "Mr. Bill".

Active member of The Moose, Cosmopolitan Club, and Tiger Club in Aurora; and in Florida the Chicagoland Club, Illinois Club, Operation Shoe Box, and Precision Golf Cart Team. An avid bowler who travelled the country to participate in events.

Other interests: reading, theatre, golf, travel, gardening, and a thirst for knowledge with an interest in learning a bit about everything and everybody. Bill never knew a stranger, befriending everyone he met and loved to help others. No matter how he felt, always answered the question "How are you?" with "Absolutely great!"
