KINDER — The funeral for Fredrick E. Jemison, 84, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2005, in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Burial will be in Kinder McRill Cemetery. The ceremony will be officiated by representatives of the many people whom Mr. Jemison loved and respected. Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today, with a wake service at 6 p.m., and from 8 a.m. Thursday.
Mr. Jemison was a resident of Kinder and served in the Army during World War II. He died at 1 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, in his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Darcy Jemison of Kinder; two sons, Randy Jemison and wife Mary of Kinder and Ralph Jemison and wife Daphne of Moss Bluff; two daughters, Janis Jemison and Lynn and husband Joseph LeBouf, all of Kinder; two sisters, Ethelinda Andrus of Lake Charles and Esther Abfalter of Houston; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Fred served his country during WW II in the China-Burma-India Theater as a Technician 4 Radio Repairman in the US Army Signal Corps. Fred's decorations included the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, the Meritorious Unit Award and the American Theater Ribbon.
