LESTER CARNEY

Funeral services for Lester Carney, 55, are to be conducted at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon from Ellisville Calvary Baptist church with the Rev. Byron Parker and the Rev. M. E. Barnett officiating. Interment will follow in Ellisville cemetery.

A lifelong resident of Ellisville, he died suddenly there at 4:15 on Tuesday afternoon. He operated a service station at Ellisville and was widely known throughout that section.

A member of the Baptist church, he was also a Mason and Masonic rites will be accorded at the graveside. Fellow Masons will serve as pallbearers.

He leaves his wife: Mrs. Jewel Carney, Ellisville; a daughter: Mrs. R. V. Sessum, Pasadena, Texas; two sisters: Mrs. G. E. Blalock, Baytown, Texas; and Mrs. Sylvester Archie, Fort Worth, Texas; two brothers: Bob [i.e. John Wesley] Carney, Route 3, Ellisville; and Houston Carney, Houston, Texas.

The body is at the Ellisville family home to await the hour of the final rites.
