Mary June, child of Richard and Sarah Morris, was born in Carmarthanshire, Wales, Oct. 9, 1848. At the age of four years she came with her parents to America, residing on a farm north of Chicago. In 1868 she came to this county, and on Jan. 31, 1875, was married to Samuel Kaltenbach of Manchester, a veteran of the Civil war. To this union were born three daughters and one son. The oldest daughter preceded her mother in death. Mr. and Mrs. Kaltenbach lived in Manchester for seven years, moving to the old homestead near the Lindsey bridge in 1882, where they lived for forty years. In 1922 they moved to Dundee, where on Jan. 31, 1926, the good wife and mother passed to her heavenly home. She was 77 years of age, and is survived by her aged husband, two daughters, Mrs. Albert Preussner and Mrs. Adolph of Dundee, 12 grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Carrie Cherry, of Waterloo, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. We feel assured that she has entered into that long wished for rest in those mansions above, with those who have gone on before us, singing rapturous songs of the wonderful song of love. Relatives and friends from out of town in attendance at the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Henry Welterlen and son, Roy, of Manchester; John Welterlen of Edgewood; Tom Kerr of Galena, Ill.; Walter Morris of Oelwein, Mrs. Carrie and children, Mr. and Mrs. John Cherry and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bishop of Waterloo; Harold and John Becker of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Thompson of Lamont; Mr. and Mrs. Almore Ovel and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Rakow of Lamont; Mr. and Mrs. Joy Himebaugh of Manchester.
