Clarence Peter Broadfoot Jr., 80, of La Mesa died May 5. He was born in Ogallah, Kan. Mr. Broadfoot was retired after working as a teacher and coach, and served in the Naval Air Corps. He belonged to the La Mesa First United Methodist Church and several educational organizations.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Anna Coleman-Broadfoot; daughters, Karen Mitchell of Bowling Green, Ky. and Janice Wisley of Lakeside; sons, Robert Broadfoot of Bonita and Bruce Broadfoot of El Cajon; sisters, Christie Bramlett of Hiawatha, Kan., Helen Gilfillan of Reserve, Kan., Mary Staib and Catherine David-Roper of Topeka, Kan.; brother, Kenneth Broadfoot of Holton, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday, La Mesa First United Methodist Church, 4690 Palm Ave., La Mesa.

Donations: Baker University Scholarship Fund, attn: Pam Sibert; or Alzheimer's Association of San Diego.
