BASCHETT (b. 1890) d/o Henry Baschett & Jemima Herring. Their marriage
record gives her name as Cora and in the 1910 census she is Flora; however,
the Common Pleas Court Records of Sept. 1915, Court Case #20665 shows her as
Cora when Earl sued for divorce; later reconciled. In the 1920 census, Earl
age 21 and Cora age 20, were living in Greenville Twp. At that time Earl's
father, Joseph H. Shepherd was living with them. They had moved into the
city of Greenville by 1 Sept. 1820.-Greenville newspaper. The Greenville
Advocate of 20 Jan. 1969 announced the celebration of the Shepherd's
Sixtieth Wedding Anniversary; of their 3 children, Edward "Earl" was the
only one living and they had 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Earl
and Cora are buried in Greenville Cemetery, Greenville, Darke Co., OH.
