Lawrence.
From Lawrence Locomotive.
Died - Tuesday morning at his home 2 1/2 miles west of Lawrence, Wm. J. Wright after suffering for a number of years with cancer of the face. Deceased was born in Illinois (NOTE:1870, 1880 & 1900 census records show he was born in Indiana.) July 5, 1841, moving thence to Iowa and later to Nebraska where he resided about 26 years prior to his death. He was regarded as an upright, honorable, conscientious man; was universally respected as a citizen and neighbor. Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday at two o'clock, Rev. Kunkel being in charge after which the remains were laid away in the Lawrence cemetery.
