Obituary Mr P. H. Lynch received the distressing news this morning of the death of his mother, which occurred yesterday at Paikakariki. Deceased, who came to the colony with her husband in 1843, was residing with her son James at the time of her death. The late Mrs Lynch originally settled at the Hutt and removed to Paikakariki in the year 1866. where she has resided ever since. Mrs Lynch had attained the great age of 83 years and leaves a family of three sons and three daughters, twenty-four grandchildren and a large number of great grandchildren. Mr Lynch left by the afternoon train to attend the funeral which takes place at Wellington to-morrow.
