Funeral services for Mrs. Rosie E. Gatlin, who died at her home near Eustace Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock after an illness of two weeks, were held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Church of Christ in Eustace.
The services were conducted by Lyle Price, minister of the Church of Christ of Wills Point. Interment was in the Goshen Cemetery.
Pallbearers were J.C. Martin, Clyde Smith, Kirvin Ueckert, Bobby Marshall, George Sanders and Donald Ray Sanders.
The Hassell & Foster Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gatlin was born on August 12, 1871, in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Ford, and was married to C.W. Gatlin of Anderson County in 1890. He died in 1919, and was buried in the City Cemetery at Palestine.
She moved to Eustace in 1924, and resided in that community until her death. She had been a member of the Church of Christ for twenty years.
Surviving are four sons, Frank Gatlin of Dallas, Delbert Gatlin of Mesquite, Vince Gatlin of Eustace and Herse M. Gatlin of Corsicana; four daughters, Mrs. Mabel Perkins of Honey Grove and Mrs. Lillie Perkins, Mrs. Beatrice Anthony and Mrs. Carrie Anthony, all of Eustace; two half-brothers, Sloan Butler of Houston and Tom Butler of Palestine; 37 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
