Log home was built by Cornelius Circa 1819. It is still standing in the Pittsville Community of Gretna, Pittsylvania Co., VA. Three generations of Georges inhabited this home, and are buried in the George Family Cemetery, a few feet from the home.
The home went from Cornelius to his son Ashford. Then to Ashford's daughter, Zorady. Zorady married Samuel Stephens and the home is now known as the "Stephens Place." Ashford lived here with his daughter till his death.
