In early manhood, he united with the Christian Church near Covington PA, and after moving to Missouri, was a member of the Christian Church in Mirabile as long as that body existed and when the Community Church was organized, he placed his membership here and attended services as long as his health would permit.
On December 28, 1869, he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Jane Allen who preceeded him to the other world on Nov. 30, 1920. To this union 6 children were born, 4 sons, 2 daughters, George H. dying in infancy: S. D. and B. H. Frost, Mrs. Sarah Sackman, Mrs. Alice Arey, who live near the home, and I. A.
