Raymond Andrew Morris, age 88 of Hooks, Texas, passed away, Friday, April 3, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Morris was born October 31, 1920 in Vici, Oklahoma. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Hooks, a retired Auto Mechanic with Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant, a World War II 39th Combat Engineer and is preceded in death by his wife, Clara Morris.

Survivors include four sons and daughters in law, William R and Kaye Morris of Charlotte, North Carolina, Robert L. and Donna Morris of Hooks, Texas, G.R and Carrie Morris of McKinney, Texas, Michael B and Donna Morris of Hooks, Texas, two sisters, Martha Dunsworth, Pearl Davis, three brothers, Robert E. Lee Morris, Donald D. Morris, Gerald D. Morris, Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, a special friend, Katie Henson of New Boston Texas and a number of other relatives and friends.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 6, 2009 at the First Baptist Church, Hooks, with Rev. Roy Ford officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens. Nash, Texas under the direction of Bates-Rolf New Boston.
