Ottawa--Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church here for Mildred I. Brinkmeyer, 91, Ottawa, who died July 14, 1999, at an Ottawa nursing home.

She was born Sept. 12, 1907, in Chanute, to John and Ida May Brinegar Glendening. She graduated from Chanute High School in 1928. She lived in Iola, Chanute, Independence, Cherryvale, Emporia and Lawrence before she moved to Ottawa about 50 years ago.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Ottawa, United Methodist Women, Lend-a-Hand Sunday school class, Priscilla Circle and Quilters Guild, all at the church. She was a member of the Franklin County Home Demonstration Unit and a volunteer for Ransom Memorial Hospital and Franklin County Humane Society, both in Ottawa.

She married Ralph Brinkmeyer on Feb. 9, 1929, in Chanute. He died Feb. 28, 1967. A son, Raymond Hillegas Jr., and a grandson, Raymond Hillegas III, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include granddaughters, Michele Blow, Wichita, Melanie Keith, Corpus Christi, Texas, and Patricia Kenyon, Grapevine, Texas; three great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters.

Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Ottawa. Mrs. Brinkmeyer will lie in state after 9 a.m. at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa.
