Billy Joe Parrish, 55, of Lake City, FL, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009, after a brief illness. He was born in Homerville, GA and had resided in Lake City most of his life. He is the son of Novice Parrish and the late William Henry Parrish. Mr. Parrish was a registered nurse and had worked for several hospitals in Lake City. He enjoyed traveling and was a loving father and devoted husband of his deceased wife, Lisa Parrish. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Parrish.
Survivors include: One son: William "Bill" Parrish, Canyon, CO; Five daughters: Deann Chase (Bryan), Christina Douberley (Roy), Salena Feagle (Justin), Sariah Sanders (Mark), Jaime Green (Chris), all of Lake City; Mother: Novice Parrish, Lake City, FL, Two brothers: Phillip and Bobby Parrish, Lake City, FL; Two sisters: Shirley Mirra and Linda Morrell, both of Lake City, FL, and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Parrish will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at 10 A.M. at Gateway-Forest Lawn Chapel with Pastor Buddy Meloy of New Life Christian Church officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
