Dorothy Belle Flickinger, 98, of Marblehead, died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Otterbein at North Shore.

She was born Oct. 27, 1910, in Orrville, the daughter of Harold L. and Hazel Jeannette (Miller) Miller.

Dorothy was retired from Periodical Publishers in Sandusky and the Heart Association in Florida. She enjoyed cooking, was a loving mother and grandmother and loved being with her family. She was a member of First United Church of Christ Congregational in Marblehead.

On Oct. 20, 1928, she married Phillip Eugene "Gene" Flickinger, who preceded her in death on May 20, 1992.

Surviving are her daughters, Barbara (Billy) Halblaub and JoAnn (Gaylord) Taylor of Marblehead; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, H. Thomas; sisters, Hazel McClure and Helen Ellis; brothers, Harold "Pete," Robert, Thomas, Al, Charles and Donald; and a great-granddaughter, Holly Halblaub.
