Frank Serwatka, 78, died Wednesday. He was born Sept. 9, 1921, in Ellsworth, Pa. A retired Air Force veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War, he was a 36-year resident of Las Vegas and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He is survived by his wife, M. LaVerne of Las Vegas; stepdaughters, Louella Amendt of Michigan and Karen Croucher of LaMesa, Calif.; stepsons, Doc Croucher of San Diego, Larry Croucher of Indianapolis, Steve Croucher of San Diego and Mike Croucher of Carmel, Ind.; sister, Dottie Hampe of Pennsylvania; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at Palm Mortuary-Downtown. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Palm Mortuary-Downtown, followed by burial at Palm Memorial Park. The family requests memorial donations be made to Odyssey Hospice.
