Prominent Sacramento medical doctor. Dr. Pendery moved to Sacramento, California 1876. He practiced medicine in his native state of Ohio and in Illinois before moving to California. He was from a family of 10 children, half of whom were doctors. His hobby was raising horses. He married Edith Dickson in 1882. He was initially buried in New Helvetia Cemetery, but along with about four or five thousand others buried there, his remains were moved to East Lawn Cemetery, Sacramento in the mid 1950's. May he rest in peace.
