Hemingway Mrs Hattie Bell Port Ard 72 wife of Rev Lanco Ard St died Thursday at a Bennettsville Hospital.
The funeral will be 2 pm Saturday at Broad Street Church of God. Burial will be at Williams Hill Freewill Baptist Church cemetery, directed by Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs Ard was born in Hemingway a daughter of the late Thomas Port and Mrs Louise Cribb Port.
Surviving in addition to her husband of Bennettsville are five sons the Rev FJ Ard of Gilbert island Australia, Liston Ard of Cheraw and the Rev FL Ard Jr of Tabor City NC the Rev Herman Ard of Nashville TN; and LeVerne Ard of Bennettsville two daughters Mrs Dorothy Roberson of Bennettsville and Mrs Louise Etheridge of Wilmington NC a brother Benny Port of Hemingway; 22 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
