Born Mary Louise Jesus in Portugal or possibly the Madeiros Islands. She immigrated to the Hawaiian Island Territory with her parents Luis deJesus and Maria Isabel Gomes Jesus as a small child in 1889.
First husband was Ernesto Augusto Cabral with whom she had three children; Angela, Lillie Elise and William August Cabral.
Second husband was Manuel Julio Camara with whom she had three children; Rosie Nettie, Arthur Lewis and Edward Davis Camara.
Third husband was James W. Allman, no children.

Mary Louise was known to be an expert seamstress, who could look at an article of clothing, make a pattern and sew an exact copy. It is confirmed in the 1910 census record that her occupation is listed as "seamstress".
