VIVIAN, LA - Bobbie M. Burney passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at the age of 87. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 4 at Mt. Gilead Cemetery (8239 Mt. Gilead Rd. Vivian, LA) officiated by Rev. Buster Page. A visitation will be held Friday, April 3 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home (1107 South Pine St. Vivian, LA).
Mrs. Burney was born in Vivian, LA on June 13, 1921. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Vivian, and she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Burney.
She is survived by her children Bob Burney and his wife Velda of Shreveport and Charlotte Brock of Ft. Worth, TX. She was lovingly known as "MeMe" to her six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother.
