Eva Wilder McGlasson, one of the most remarkable literary talents of her era, married Henry C. Brodhead, financier and mining engineer, on Wednesday, December 5, 1894, in Manhattan. The wedding was followed by a long stay abroad that included a cruise around the Mediterranean.

She spent much time in Colorado where her husband's mining interests were.

Eva was most known for her use of dialect. Her works included:
Diana’s Livery, An Earthly Paragon, One of the Visconti, Bound in Shallows, Prairie Infanta, Ministers of Grace and many short stories and poems. She was frequently published in Harper's Weekly.

Eva was the daughter of John A. Wilder and Mary Heidler, both born in Tennessee.
