MIDDLESBORO — Tonya Jo Ruth Elliott Smith, 36, passed away Tuesday March 31, 2009, at MiddlesboroAppalachian Regional Hospital.

Born January 28, 1973, in Bell County, she was the daughter of the late Dall "Tuddy" Elliott and Terry Long Whited who survives. She was a member of the Binghamtown Baptist Church.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Matt and Myrtle Elliott, and Ruth Long.

Survivors include her mother and step-father, Terry and Mark Whited; husband, Gary Wayne Smith; daughter, Trinity Goodman; grandmother, Pattie Herron; uncles and aunts, Joe, Gill, and Bo Elliott, Tim, Todd and Tammy Hoskins; very special uncle, Thurman "Diddle" Herron; mother-in-law, Vicky and Jimmy Partin; father-in-law, Gary Smith Sr.; grandmother-in-law, Louise Ball Hearn; and a host of great-aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. William Boyd Bingham presiding. Music will be provided by Keyla Caldwell.

Interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. C.A. Moore, First Floor Staff of the Middlsboro ARH, Nick Miracle, David Ayers, Corey Eldridge, Tyler Miracle, Scott Mills and Scotty Allen.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, which is in charge of all arrangements.
