James Fontain "Johnny" Thomas, 58, was a 40 year employee of General Dynamics of Fort Worth. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a recipient of the Carnegie Hero Fund Award in 1954 for saving the lives of two girls at Lake Whitney.

Survived by his wife; one daughter - Janie Jenkins; two grandsons; three sisters - Mrs. Frank Walsh, Mrs. Millie Adams, Mrs. Laverne Young; two brothers - Bob Thomas and Harold Thomas.
