* She died 3 months after her brother Roy.
Woodville Examiner, 14 June 1918
GORDON - At the residence of her parents, Ross street, Woodville, on June 12th, Gladys Ada, second daughter of C. and M. Gordon; aged 15 years 7 months.
On Wednesday night the death occurred at her parents' residence in Ross Street, of Gladys Ada Gordon, daughter of Mr and Mrs C. Gordon, aged fifteen years and seven months. The young life thus untimely closed at one time was full of bright promise, but about eighteen months ago the fell disease which has at length conquered made its presence felt and since then the girl became weaker and weaker, gradually fading away. She entered the Dannevirke Hospital in August last and was there for nine weeks, but nothing could be done. The deepest sympathy will be felt with Mr and Mrs Gordon in their sad bereavement, the second within a short space of time.
