THEODORE P. HARTMANN

Theodore P. Hartmann, 72, of 926 Fremont St., Kiel, died Friday evening at St. Nicholas Hospital. Born April 9, 1896 in the Town of Schleswig, Manitowoc County, a son of the late John and Margaret Spettel Hartmann, he attended the district school. On Nov. 10, 1925, he was married to Florentine Casper of the Town of Liberty at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in St. Nazianz. They farmed in the Towns of Liberty, Schleswig and Chilton before moving to Kiel in 1956. He was employed at the A.A. Laun Furniture Co. in Kiel for 11 years before his retirement in 1961. Mr. Hartmann served with the U.S. Army during World War I, with Co. B, 56th Infantry from July, 1918, to July, 1919, serving overseas for nine months. He was a member of Tri-County VFW Post 6707 of Kiel, and Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Parish, Kiel. Survivors are his wife; one daughter, (name omitted for privacy); four grandchildren, and four brothers, Edward of Manitowoc, Joseph of Sheboygan, Albin of Marengo Ill, and Othmar of Brillion. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. George (Marion) Christel, in August, 1966.
