Paul K. Griffiths, 76, passed away Sept. 14, 2006. Born in Akron, he grew up in Barberton, had previously lived in California and Arkansas, before moving back to Barberton. He retired from the Naval Shipyard in Long Beach, Calif., after 30 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Hungarian Club, Barberton Liedertafel, and a life member of VFW Post 1066. Paul was also a proud Army veteran, having served twice during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kittie, and brother, Thomas. Survivors include his sisters, Frances Getz and Mary Ann (Roger) Rankin; brothers, Don (Rose), Jack (Louise) and Karl (Sue); special niece, Kathy Griffiths ; special nephew, Mickey Getz; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
