Ralph & Carrie Snyder were married in Sheridan, Waupaca Co, WI on 15 Dec 1903. They began their married life in a log home on 139 acres of land west of Cobbtown by the Tomorrow River in Portage County. Their first three children, Clarence, Edwin and Harold were born in this log home. While living there Ralph built a large, beautiful two-story home across the road on their land. After moving into this new house, Bernice and Lyle were born. The log home no longer exists on the land, but the new home was still standing as of the 1990s. Ralph and Carrie lived and raised their family on this farm until about 1944-1945 when they sold it and moved into Waupaca. Ralph built a garage that they lived in and then started on a house. Just before completion, he suffered a stroke and his sons finished building the home. Ralph and Carrie lived in this home on Berlin Street until Ralph's death in 1951. Carrie continued on in the home until selling the property and moving in with her son, Lyle, in New London. She remained with Lyle until shortly before her death.
