Age 90, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 15, 2003. He was born on March 10, 1913 in Portland the son of Joseph and Clara (Fedewa) Huhn and lived many enjoyable years in Portland with his family and friends.

Mr. Huhn was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Forresters. Leonard had many interests and hobbies, including singing and spending time with friends down at the senior center.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Rose Marie; son-in-law, Richard Egan; 4 brothers, Sylvester, Gerald, Herman, and Edwin Huhn; 3 sisters, Odelia Chamberlain, Esther Krieger, and Rosella Kransz. Surviving are 4 daughters, Marcia (Roger) Roty of Jackson, MI, Linda Lou Egan of Golden, CO, Noreen (Fred) Karasinski of Grand Rapids, MI, and Denice (Tom) Hansen of Cheboygan, MI; 2 sons, Gary Huhn of Ft. Wayne, IN, and David (Kitty) Huhn of Grand Rapids, MI; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Laurine (Lawrence) Hoffman of Portland; sisters-in-law, Ruth Huhn and Elizabeth Huhn both of Portland; many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Charles D. Hall, Pastor at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Rite of Committal following at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday. Rosaries will be prayed at 8 p.m. Sunday and 3 p.m. Monday. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Heartland Hospice or to the Sisters of St. Joseph, in memory of Leonard A. Huhn.
