Carol Gunn, 87, passed away on March 25, 2009 at Legacy House Assisted Living Center of Bountiful. She resided at 1950 South 200 West in Bountiful, Utah at the time of her death.
Carol was born in Salt Lake City on December 21, 1921, daughter of Ethel Kearn and Bert Patterson.
She married Warren W. Child Sr. in 1938; later divorced. She married Alan Gunn on March 12, 1949; later solemnized in the Logan Temple.
Carol enjoyed being a mother and grandmother and loved being around family. She was a legal secretary for many years. She was an excellent cook, and seamstress.
She loved to do the cross-word puzzle in the daily paper. She made many beautiful cross-stitched pieces and played bridge all her adult life. She served in several callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was a devoted mother to Warren (Florence) Child, Pamela (George) Zivait, Terry (Tracy) Gunn. She is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by Dewey, her husband of 52 years, her sister Dona Fellows and one grandchild, Eugene V. Child.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, where friends and family may call on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment at the Bountiful Memorial Park.
