He was born February 16, 1930 in Fairview, Utah to Lewis and Agnes Terry.
Worked for Kennecott for over 30 years and retired in 1988. He also operated and owned Terry Heating and Air Conditioning with the utmost integrity. He loved spending winters in St. George with his wife, Ethel. Dad loved golfing and socializing with many friends at the Copper Golf Club in Magna.
We all enjoyed the fruits of dad's gardening as he shared his first tomatoes of the year and great cucumbers. One of dad's great enjoyments was waking up to his morning newspaper and coffee. He was also an avid Jazz fan. He loved and cared for his sweet Ethel for many years.
Survived by two daughters, Mary (Steve) Huntsman and Launa (Mark) Forester; five sons, J. Randy (Linda) Daniel, Dean (Deanna) Terry, Keith (Jerrie) Terry, Marty (Donna) Terry, and Kim (Kelly) Terry; stepsons, Dan (Carol) Carrell and Steve (Sheila Carrell; stepdaughters, Diane (Wally) Larsen and Debbie Ashwood (Richard); 46 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda and Verlee; and brother, Don. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ethel; parents; brother, Ross; great-grandson, Gregory; and great-granddaughter, Gracie.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, where friends and family may call on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the services.
Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
